Prairie Haven Outdoors — whitetail and waterfowl on private Kansas ground

About us

6,000 acres of private ground across three counties.

Prairie Haven is private land across Cowley, Butler, and Elk Counties in South Central Kansastimber, native grass, crop edges, and wetlands, all on the same ground. It isn’t leased out or hammered by outside pressure, which is exactly why the deer hold and the ducks keep coming back.

That ground carries multiple seasons. Managed timber and field edges create quality whitetail habitat, while cattail cover and water provide the conditions waterfowl need. We offer guided and private hunting opportunities for whitetail deer, waterfowl and ducks, turkey, and dove, with each hunt built around the property, the conditions, and the experience we want our guests to have.

You’re hunting alongside the people who own, manage, and work the ground — not a rotation of strangers. That relationship with the land is a big part of what Prairie Haven is about.

And the experience doesn’t stop at hunting. Guests can also enjoy river and local fishing opportunities throughout the area, including access to some of the major lakes and waterways across Butler and Cowley Counties.

On-site lodging is available for hunting parties.

Region-level only. Exact location shared with confirmed guests.

The people

Who you’ll be hunting with.

Adam Weaver, co-founder of Prairie Haven Outdoors

Adam Weaver

Co-Founder

Hey, I’m Adam Weaver, co-founder of Prairie Haven Outdoors. I’m a Midwest native, born and raised in Missouri, with a lifelong passion for the outdoors and a particular love for spending time in the Kansas woods and fields with good friends.

Prairie Haven Outdoors was created from something we were already passionate about—sharing great days in the field with family and friends. Over the years, we’ve built genuine relationships with local landowners and developed a network of opportunities that allowed us to turn that passion into something we’re excited to share with others.

Our goal is simple: provide an authentic Kansas outdoor experience while creating memories that last well beyond the hunt. We love Kansas for what it offers—the incredible wildlife, beautiful landscapes, strong hunting heritage, and the opportunity to experience the outdoors in a way that’s hard to find anywhere else.

Whether you’re a Kansas resident or traveling from across the country, we’re excited to welcome you to Prairie Haven Outdoors and give you the opportunity to experience what makes this part of the Midwest so special.

Come experience Kansas. Hunt hard. Make memories.

Eyan Curtis

Co-Founder

Eyan is a co-founder of Prairie Haven Outdoors and a south central Kansas native who’s been hunting these lands his entire life. His deepest passion is waterfowl and upland game — reading the skies, working a good dog, and putting people on birds. After years of guiding friends and family across this ground, he’s finally opening it up to the public. Whether you’re chasing your first limit or your hundredth, Eyan brings the kind of local knowledge and easygoing hospitality that turns a hunt into a story worth retelling.
